the first shrink-proof underwear in the world.
In 1898, Joshua Slocum of Brier Island, Digby County was the first person to sail
solo around the world. It took three years and two months to complete the journey.
In 1997, Nova Scotia became the first province in Canada to offer universal
access to the 911 emergency system.
